![]() Farm Stay and Bed & Breakfast at Stone & Thistle Farm in the Catskills Guests enjoy the first-floor suite in the 1863 Greek Revival farmhouse or the Farmhand Cabin. The suite includes a guest bedroom with a double bed, private bath and library with a private entrance. Additional sleeping facilities can be arranged in the library suite to accommodate families. The Farmhand Cabin is located a short distance from the farmhouse overlooking Kortright Creek. The Cabin accommodates up to two adults and two small children. To accommodate more members of the family, a tent is provided. The Cabin is equipped with electricity and includes a refrigerator, hot plate, microwave and outdoor grill and fire pit for cooking. The Cabin has an outdoor solar shower, wash sink and compost toilet. After enjoying a bountiful farm breakfast, guests may opt to participate in a guided tour of the farm and lend a hand with farm chores (1 1/2 to 2 hours). See Morning Tour & Chores fee below. Farm chores, depending on the season, may include collecting eggs, bottle feeding kid goats, feeding and watering chickens, rabbits and pigs, moving the sheep or dairy goats with the border collies and planting, weeding or harvesting in the kitchen gardens. Rates Farmhouse Suite: $150 per night (1-2 persons) for two-night stay. $20 each additional person or child. $175 for one-night stay. Includes a hearty, farmstead breakfast served at Fable, of goat milk and yogurt, granola, just-gathered eggs, farm-baked breads and biscuits, and grass-fed bacon or sausage; all grown and made on the farm. A Farm Stay is three nights or more at $125 per night (1-2 persons); $20 each additional person or child. Two-night stay required on holiday weekends. Farmhand Cabin: $125 per night (1-2 persons) for two-night stay. $150 for one-night stay. Meals are self prepared or opt for a farmstead breakfast at Fable for $15 per adult and $8 per child (9 and under). A Farm Stay is three nights or more at $105 per night (1-2 persons). Two-night stay required on holiday weekends. “Morning Tour & Chores”, following breakfast (1 1/2 to 2 hours), is $30 per family and Farmer for A Day, a half-day farm adventure, is $180 for up to four people. See website for details. Reservations Confirmed upon receipt of deposit equal to one night's charge. Deposits may be paid by credit cards. Credit cards are charged at the time the reservation is made. Personal checks must be received within 7 days of making the reservation or the reservation will be cancelled. Personal checks will not be accepted for payment of final balances at checkout. When making your reservation, please let us know if you will be participating in the farm's programs: Morning Tours & Chores or Farmer for a Day. Cancellations Last-minute cancellations allow us limited opportunities to re-book the guest rooms and/or Cabin. Your deposit will be refunded in full if the cancellation is made at least sixteen days prior to arrival. For cancellations within sixteen days of arrival, no refund will be made unless we are able to rebook. Dining Dinner is served at Fable = a farm + table culinary experience on select Saturday nights in the farmhouse’s modern addition. The menu features the best of the farm’s meats, dairy and produce. A five-course dinner costs $55 per person. The prix-fixe menu is available on the website. Fable’s Saturday night dinners are not recommended for children under 12. The farm tour and brunch are on select Sundays from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. The cost is $20 per person; children 9 and under are half price. Reservations are required. Smoking: Not permitted anywhere inside farmhouse, farm buildings or on the farm. Smoking is permitted outside on the patio adjacent to Fable. Minimum Stay: A two-night minimum stay is required on holiday weekends. Farm Stay program is three nights or more. CHECK-IN: 3 - 7 pm, or by special arrangement CHECK-OUT: 11 am Pets: Sorry no guest pets. Communication: Cell phone reception is limited. Television and internet access are unavailable. Special arrangements can be made for limited satellite internet access. Farm Dogs: Dogs are part of our farm family. While the dogs are not allowed in the guest area or restaurant, guests must be comfortable with working dogs and pet dogs on the farm property.
